The B-553 replacement foot is a direct replacement for the supplied foot on the Nikon 500mm f/4 AF-S versions I & II and VR, and 200-400mm AF-S VR telephoto and zoom lenses.

The replacement foot is designed to replace the factory foot fitted to the rotation collar of your lens and also serve as the Arca-Swiss style quick release plate.

By decreasing the overall height of the lens by around 2" (500mm) or 1.25" (200-400mm) the Benby B-452 Replacement Foot lowers the centre of gravity and improves the stability and balance of the lens when mounted on a ball head, the Benby Gimbal Head or the Benby Side-winder In fact, with some lenses, the replacement foot is essential when using the Benby Side-winder

Note: This particular plate mounts so close to the lens that it is difficult to use the plate as a carry-handle

The Benby Replacement Foot offers the same double safety stop and Flash Bracket compatibility as our lens plates and are milled to slide right into an Arca-Swiss style quick release clamp. It also sports both 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes for mounting directly onto tripods and monopods not fitted with QR clamps.
